Where I am

I have been homeless since March of last year. I am in Seattle, the State of Washington's largest city. This morning after a night in the cold rain, I went to a day center for the homeless and I found a proclamation issued by Seattle's mayor, Edward B. Murray on the bulletin board.  Since coming to Seattle I have sustained two major injuries each of which required 8 weeks to recover from, these injuries are in addition to several minor injuries; all are from assaults. I was also seriously ill for over a month due to being outside without adequate shelter.

Yesterday, I was expelled from a room in a rooming house without Due Process of Law by a Detective Easterly, who works for the King County Sheriff's Department. I was expelled by property owner, Peter Doorish, who up until throwing me out, generously allowed me to stay for free in his house for almost 2 months. Strangely, Doorish repeatedly refused payment for rent from both myself and my partner, who has been homeless for 7 years...The brief respite from the streets was traumatic in that I was repeatedly victimized directly and indirectly by Doorish; who appears to have no interest in conducting his business legally. While a guest in Doorishi's house, my valuable bicycle, (my transportation) was stolen. Due to the monetary value of the bike, which had been built by my partner it's theft is a felony crime. Doorish (again) acknowledged while illegally kicking me and others out yesterday that he is in fact legally liable for the the loss of my bike, stating, that it would, "Be an honor" to make restitution for my loss. I'm not holding my breath...

Pepper

I listened to a message left for me on a friend"s voicemail last night. The message was left on the 25th of April, I did not listen to, or even learn a YPD detective had left a message for me until late in the evening on May 4th.

A man identifying himself as Detective Pepper said he had what he believed "might be" my property. I was puzzled to say the very least; actually, in reality, I was immediately suspicious.  I wondered what could he possibly have that identified me as the owner?

As I have shared, my home was  robbed (repeatedly at times by some reports, continuously) while I was in the County jail. Due to a variety of reasons, one if which is losing my home, after living there for seven years; a result of the criminal activity that took place while I was incarcerated. I have yet to complete a report listing the items stolen; primarily, because once I was prepared to do so, it was the dirty cop, Ray Garza, who was dispatched to take the report. Garza is the  cop that arrested me on false charges on 3-13-2014.

The only property that Pepper could possibly have had that could be mine would be my driver's license, or bank card. There is no question whose property my driver's license or bank card would be, why would he state that it "might" be mine? I left Pepper a message with my new phone number on his office voicemail. When I didn"t hear from him, I called again first thing in the morning, and left another message.

Ultimately, the story I was told by Yakima Police Detective Ryan Pepper, defies logic and reason; it is simply not believable. What I want to know is when did it become a detective's duty to shred a still current, valid, driver's license of a crime victim? Although it is possible he didn't know I had been robbed, being a detective working property crimes, his conduct is more than odd.

Pepper claimed my driver's license had been found on a sidewalk by a business owner. I had replaced my stolen license 3 days before he left his strange message. I also reported to the Department of Licensing that my driver's license had been stolen. 

Why did he not mail me my driver's license? Or drive my found property the less than 10 blocks to my house where I lived and place it in my mailbox or hand it to me should I be home? It takes no stamp or even an envelope to mail a person their license or ID; simply place it in ANY US Postal Service mailbox.

Detective Pepper is a detective in the property crimes unit, so I will assume he was speaking to a business owner about a theft or burglary, making his destruction of my stolen property strange to say the very least; his blasé attitude when speaking to me about his peculiar conduct was unprofessional, inappropriate and downright suspicious.

Yakima Valley Memorial to close psychiatric unit

I wonder if it has to do with the illegal commitments? When people are Court Ordered, the SOW picks up the tab, instead of the $ coming out of Yakima County's MH funds. Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health has a way of conducting business in a manner that is less than legal. Specifically, staff have been known to have people who are seeking to be hospitalized, illegally detained, then Involuntarily Committed. Staff then shred the original Superior Court Documents, to cover up the crimes committed. It is (obviously) illegal to shred original Court Cocuments. It is a felony crime to commit forgery and/or perjury, each is punishable by up to ten years in prison here in Washington State.

Nancy Sherman, Designated Mental Health Professional, committed both forgery and perjury, and psychiatrist, Jeffery Jennings, committed perjury when my son sought to be hospitalized. Jennings also provided negligent and unethical care; in the eight days he was my son's 'dorktor," Jennings intentionally did not speak to anyone who knew my son. Even though he had his GP's, his Psychiatrist's, his Counselor's, his brother's, and his mother's contact information. Jennings also entered into my son's Hospital Chart falsehoods about my son's medical history, he also put him back on a Benzodiazepine at TWICE the dose he had totally withdrawn from, due to Cardiac risk, all of this information was available to Jennings in records that were in my son's chart. Jennings also entered into the medical record that he released my son when he did, because I made him! How this could be when we never spoke the entire time he was my son's 'attending physician.' (Jeffrey Jennings would not return multiple messages I left for him, at the hospital and at Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health where both he and Nancy Sherman are employed)

The thing is, Memorial is not, as the kids say, "down with" violating Federal Law, violating people's rights; much less, violating a multitude of laws and multiple people's rights...The way CWCMH conducts business, puts Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in a position of liability. This a business decision, and probably not due to the $ paid by Medicaid---if that were the case, Memorial would have done this before now...They have never been adequately reimbursed for State Medicaid clients. Anyone not in a coma, with a modicum of critical thinking skills, would comprehend the serious liability it is to conduct business with an organization whose employees casually violate Federal Laws.

Strangely, it seems CWCMH has a secret rule that says there is nothing wrong with employees committing Felonies and then SHREDDING ALL THE ORIGINAL COURT DOCUMENTS to cover their tracks. Designated Mental Health Professional, Nancy Sherman committed forgery and perjury, psychiatrist, Jeffery Jennings committed perjury; as well as knowingly entering false information into my son's medical record, which is also a Felony. The CEO of Comprehensive, Rick Weaver at first tried to tell me that the County Clerk, lost the missing documents; saying the clerk, "loses Court Documents all the time." Less than politely, I told him I didn't believe him. He then said, there was nothing wrong with shredding Original Court Documents, stating, "We do it all the time." Unethical, illegal and just plain dishonest; and soon to be the only option; as the Church Lady on SNL used to say:

The preceding is the comment I left on the local paper's online website. I discovered the link was broken and linked to the Tri-City Herald posting my comment there and republishing it 1-3-2012 

When my son was illegally committed in Yakima County for six months in the community four days after a fouteen day order for inpatient commitment was obtained, the hearing lasted all of one minute and twenty-six seconds. My son's assigned counsel presented the prosecution's case, a Court Order was granted authorizing what started out as the illegal Emergent Order to Detain Nancy Sherman, Designated Mental Health Professional obtained using perjury and a forged document.  I've known for well over a decade that Rick Weaver, the CEO of Central Washington Comprehensive Mental Health has no ethical integrity; it is apparent he does not require any from mental health 'professionals' who are employed at CWCMH. 

What would you think if you, or your beloved son went to the hospital and were put on a medication that your regular prescriber had taken you off of due to cardiac risk? My son has had Tachycardia since he was a teenager from the drugs prescribed Off Label; and without Informed Consent in Washington's only State run Children's psychiatric facility. I am outraged and disgusted with how 'mental health treatment' is provided, as if ethical integrity and the outcome for the patient is not relevant. I know that not all psychiatrists and mental health workers treat people like my son has been treated; I just wish there was one where we live.

When I brought my son home after this chain of events, it was three weeks before I could persuade him he was safe enough to go outside the house. He is 6'3" tall and weighs 280 lbs., and he was terrified. My giant son was AFRAID to step into our own yard for pities sake! I had to convince him he was safe. I have to admit, it is one of the hardest things I've done. I know it's a lie. I feel sick about it. I DO NOT LIE to my children. Telling this lie was the only way I could convince him to step outside. I don't believe my son, or anyone with a psychiatric diagnosis, in crisis is safe from unethical mental health professionals.

 My son deserves better, WE ALL DO.

Criminal trials need not be based on the facts

A handful of Police Officers were involved in killing a mentally disabled man named Otto Zehm, in Spokane Washington in March of 2006.  Otto had committed no crime.  No effort whatsoever was made to bring his murderer to trial. Ultimately the DOJ filed charges, charging one officer (there were a total of seven involved) with lying to investigators, and for using "unreasonable force." Karl Thompson struck Otto Zehm seven times and tazered him twice within 32 seconds after rushing up to him with a raised baton... 


The Federal Judge is hinting that a plea bargain should be made for this miscreant.  The Judge ruled the Assistant Police Chief can not tell the jury that Karl F. Thompson, the Police Officer on trial, did not follow Department Procedures when he chased a frightened Otto Zehm through a mini-market; before commencing to beat him in the head with his police baton---even though these events were caught on video.  Otto Zehm was "armed" with a 2-liter bottle of soda; and had committed no crime. Ultimately, Otto Zehm was beaten, tazered and then hogtied before he stopped breathing--


Federal Judge Van Sickle issued a ruling that the jury will not be told that Karl F. Thompson's actions led to Otto Zehm's death, which was ruled a homicide; because this fact the Judge ruled is, “irrelevant and becomes confusing for the jurors.  It’s not something that needs to be addressed or should be addressed..." 

The Spokane County Medical Examiner ruled Otto Zehm died as the result of homicide in May of 2006, with lack of oxygen to the brain as the official cause.  Thompson is not charged with homicide: The fact that Thompson had a sworn duty to protect and to serve, but brutally attacked a handicapped man who died as a direct result of Thompson's beating; is "irrelevant."

The Judge's ruling in effect means:

 CRIMINAL TRIALS NEED NOT BE BASED ON THE FACTS

WHEN

The victim is "mentally handicapped" and the perpetrator is a Police Officer who ignores Police Procedure and THE LAW.
