The Supreme Court of the United States acknowledges idiots have a
Constitutional Right to freedom of speech
in publishing it's decision Snyder v. Phelps, et al.
I Love the Constitution of the United States of America. It is unfortunate that it gives hate-filled idiots the right to spew their hate. The members of Westboro Baptist Church apparently think that claiming to be "Christian" justifies bad behavior, if you're "doing it for Jesus."
How in the hell can one's faith in Jesus justify vilifying American Veterans killed in combat? It does not in any way to demonstrate one's Love for Jesus; IMHO, it demonstrates both a lack of faith and lack of Love for Jesus. The book these folks purport to be using, states some pretty clear ground rules for followers of Christ; one is stated repeatedly. God, being all powerful, knew that giving humans free will would mean some would chose to be stupid and hateful. The Love of God compels Christians to be the "Good Samaritan" in their daily lives; to be charitable in thought and deed, according to Christian doctrine. To paraphrase the man himself, what Christians do to those who are perceived to be "less than" and deserving of their judgement and condemnation, is done to Jesus himself. I'm thinking Jesus would not approve of the Westboro Baptist Church activities. Read about the Court's decision at the Center for Justice website.
Somehow, I just know that Jesus would not be protesting with these Jesus Freaks; but I can see him riding with the Patriot Guard Riders. Jesus, I'd be willing to bet, loves defenders of the Constitution.
The Patriot Guard Riders are drowning out the hate with the rumble of their motorcycles.

Patriot Guard Riders Mission Statement
The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.
We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.
Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:
Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.
To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.
