The New York Times talked to Dr. Marsh Linehan and I must give Kudos to Marsha Linehan! Her story offers real hope, based on her life experiences. Those experiences include psychiatric hospitalization and a psychiatric diagnosis, learning to accept and love herself; becoming a psychotherapist with a doctorate in psychology who has developed an effective Evidence-Based treatment, "Dialectical Behavioral Therapy" used initially for Borderline Personality Disorder, that is now being used for other diagnoses as well.
A couple of excerpts:
"She relied on therapists herself, off and on over the years, for support and guidance (she does not remember taking medication after leaving the institute)."
“I was in hell,” she said. “And I made a vow: when I get out, I’m going to come back and get others out of here.”
The first excerpt is common among people who recover from psychiatric diagnoses. Recovery can and does happen; and many people do not need drugs to recover. In the second excerpt, Dr.Linehan shares she wanted to help others, which she acknowledges, is how she ultimately helped herself. Simply beautiful.

I Still haven't discovered Who the stinking Weasel was who illegally authorized Marsha's peddling of a Religion - Buddhism - as reimbursable BY US Govt. Healthcare Programs, but I intend to.
Marsha's Crap is Stone Cold Prohibited by the 1st Amendment and every last one of our Congress Critters swore an Oath to Uphold and Defend the Constitution as a condition of their taking Office.
It's Congress responsibility to find out who did it, and Revoke it!
I don't give a rat's hind foot How many mind numbed victims of her BS anyone cares to drag out as justification that her wretched Dialectical Behavioral Therapy provides some sort of therapeutic benefit.
"Congress shall make NO LAW respecting an establishment of religion, ..... "
Congress shall Also NOT Tolerate Funding an establishment of religion in order to certify that ANY Citizen owns a defective Mystic/Opinion.
