"How to Recognize a Bad Psychiatrist"

Dr. David M. Allen's recent blog post entitled, "How to Recognize a Bad Psychiatrist," in Psychology today offers some advice, along with some astute and humorous observations about 'how psychiatry is done' by bad psychiatrists; this and a couple of blunt opinions, make it well worth the read.  I am going to share what he had to say about bp magazine, because in this case, Dr. Allen shared information about the publication, and allows his readers to draw any conclusions.

I know about Bill MacPhee, he peddles the Brain Disease Porridge, I've read his other mag and seen his vids courtesy of the SZ society and talked to people who talk to him - disgusting creature a bottom feeder.

Dr. Allen's article is all about drugs, diagnosis, labels and the DSM - (i just read it) -.
My question is why would anyone fill up their head with that garbage - it's as barren and airless as the dark side of the moon I mean unless you've got a brain injury or something just do some real psychotherapy and get it done with. Poor Doctor Allen,I guess he is well meaning but his psychotherapy is very dark purpose. They say we stand on the shoulders of giants from the past but the Biomed giants are standing in quicksand. Nobody should stand on their shoulders.
Just my humble opinion as a cured SZ that is not supposed to exist and to whom no one important pays any attention.
lol
