Individual's Constitutional Rights Violated in Multiple States Right Now in United States



The United States has some very serious Constitutional Rights crimes being committed on an ongoing basis, supposedly to "medically treat" those who have been targeted with prescribed either drugs or electroshock.  There are three people Cindy Potter in Texas, Elizabeth Ellis in Minnesota and Chris Busche, in New Jersey;  are all being held in psychiatric facilities against their will and scheduled for forced treatment.  Elizabeth Ellis faces more forced ECT .  A fourth, Alison Hymes, has been threatened with forced treatment

The disgusting display of abuse of power and authority in the State of Michigan whose State CPS workers violated the Constitutional Rights of parent, Maryanne Godboldo; when she sought to protect her daughter from the iatrogenic effects of Risperdal, a neuroleptic drug marketed illegally by Johnson sand Johnson for pediatric use.  This is a drug prescribed her daughter for an "off-label" use, the FDA guidelines state "off-label" means "EXPERIMENTAL"  This class of drugs alter how the brain functions, alter how the entire parasympathetic nervous system functions.  State of Michigan "authorities" have sought to force a child to be given a drug UNAPPROVED for CHILDREN, in spite of her mother not wanting her child to be given this dangerous drug!

Detroit — A 56-year-old woman faces multiple felony charges and is being held on $500,000 bond after a 10-hour standoff with police, claiming she was protecting her 13-year-old daughter from unnecessary medication.
Maryanne Godboldo, 56, was arraigned Sunday before 36th District Magistrate Sidney Barthwell Jr. on charges of firing a weapon in a dwelling, felonious assault, resisting and obstructing an officer, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Barthwell set an April 8 preliminary examination.
"What has happened here is a travesty," said Wanda A. Evans, Godboldo's attorney. "This family has never been under the jurisdiction of the court. This shouldn't have happened."
Godboldo is accused of barricading herself inside her west side home with her 13-year-old daughter and a gun after being confronted Thursday afternoon by Child Protective Services workers who had a warrant to remove the girl because the mother had withheld her medication. Detroit Police said Godboldo fired a shot and refused to leave the home until negotiators, including a Wayne County judge, helped talk her into surrendering.
"We talked that day mother-to-mother. I asked her to come out on her porch and I promised I would come here today to walk out with her," Wayne Circuit Judge Deborah Thomas said Sunday after the hearing. "I'm shocked by the amount of the bond. I never dreamed it would be set so high and she wouldn't be free to care for her daughter."
Godboldo's family and supporters, who gathered outside the court Sunday, said the woman has every right to make medical decisions for her daughter and that child welfare workers overstepped their authority. The unusual circumstances of the standoff attracted a large crowd of volunteers offering to help negotiate with Godboldo, including ministers and community activists.
Thomas said she eventually talked Godboldo out with a promise her daughter would be turned over to a relative, but family members say the girl was taken into protective custody anyway. Evans said a hearing on removal of the child will be April 6 before Wayne County Juvenile Referee Leslie Graves.
Penny Godboldo, a dance professor at Marygrove College, said she and her sister, Maryanne, trained as dancers in New York before opening a studio in Detroit. Maryanne Godboldo became a stay-at-home mother after the troubled birth of her daughter, who was born with a defective foot that required amputation of her leg below the knee.
Maryanne Godboldo home-schooled the girl. She said her strength and confidence grew, and despite her handicap, she swam, sang, danced and played the piano.
Penny Godboldo said as her niece approached middle school age, she wanted to attend school but needed to catch up on required immunizations.
"We believe she had an adverse reaction to her immunizations," Penny Godboldo said.
"She began acting out of character, being irritated, having facial grimaces that have been associated with immunizations."
Evans said Maryanne Godboldo sought help for her daughter from The Children's Center, an organization that helps families with at-risk children, where a medical and mental health treatment plan was developed. Godboldo told relatives the medications ordered by the doctor worsened symptoms, including behavioral problems.
"It is an undiagnosed condition, but the doctor had given her psychotropic drugs that caused a bad reaction, made things worse," said the girl's father, Mubuarak Hakim. "Maryanne's decision to wean her from that was making a difference, making her better, helping her to be a happy kid again."
A rally for Godboldo is planned for 9 a.m. Saturday at Hartford Memorial Baptist Church, 18700 James Couzens Freeway.

All of these are examples of psychiatric "treatment" are carried out Under the Color of Law and violate the Constitutional Rights of those held in psychiatric facilities and in Maryanne's case, her Constitutional Rights as a parent, affirmed in the United States Supreme Court Decision, Parham v. J.R., 442 US 584,602-606 (1979) have been violated by an outright assault.  The assault was carried out under the guise of "Child Protection," by Michigan Child Welfare authorities with the Detroit Police Department acting as a State Sanctioned mental health drugging enforcement tool tor CPS thugs. 

State Sanctioned violations of individual's Constitutional Rights carried out to ensure that "special treatment," that is potentially disabling and/or fatal in a Country that prides itself on being the Leader of the Free World?   The American people are not free to choose to not be drugged or electroshocked, the State can say you no longer have the right to say no to dangerous psychiatric "treatment."

Take a stand against this abuse of authority and power!   American citizens are not safe from coercive and forced psychiatric "treatment" and we are not allowed to protect our children either.

Oh god, this is painful to read...I'm thoroughly disgusted with my country on this front. Thanks for sharing the information, and making us all better informed. This is a battle that cannot wait, especially when the lives of more children are on the line. Too many have been hurt already. Do you happen to know if there's any means to support their cause out of state?

It seems this woman was backed into a corner, placed into a "fight/flight" situation to protect her own child.

These cases always seem to go back to the same thing... circumventing the Constitution.

Whether it's the right to refuse psychiatric drugs and/or ECT, forced incarceration, or exercise parental rights in the best interests of a child...

The Constitution continues to be ignored.
Again, and again, and again.

I have a comment for psychiatrists, and do-gooder social workers -

"ENOUGH!"

These situations are painful to write about as well. I too am disgusted with this Country's "mental health" and social service systems running roughshod over people's Constitutional Rights with impunity. Why is the DOJ not investigating these crimes is what I would like to know.

They will be not only reluctant to address what happened, they will be absent.

In fact, they will point to the event as a reason to take away the right to keep and bear arms.... They always do.

They're predictable.

I believe people can fully recover from a psychosis, and go on with their lives.

Also, I believe that the diagnosis of such things like "bipolar" are being given to people without looking at the root causes involved - including everything from PTSD to interacations with alcohol and over-the counter medication, and lots of other things.. Lots of things can cause a "psychosis".

In some states, a person can be given a psychiatric diagnosis and can still purchase a handgun, even following a "psychosis", hospitalization, etc. Some states require a certain period of time following the "psychotic break."

IMO, we are talking about moral character, and many people undergo a temporary psychotic period, pull out of it, and go on with their lives. In the case of veterans, many are given diagnoses of "bipolar" rather than PTSD. They should not have their right to keep and bear arms taken away for a lifetime, especially considering they risk their lives to defend the Constitution.

The Civil Rights Movement was a non-violent one. MindFreedom promotes the same. I am not naive enough to believe that a person in the midst of a psychosis should be carrying a gun, but I do believe that they should not arbitrarily have ANY Constitutional rights taken away after they recover.

Recovery is not only possible, it is probable. The MAJORITY of people recover, even from diagnoses of "bipolar" and "schizophrenia".

Ironically, most people who do not get forced to take psychiatric drugs, or become trapped in the mental health system.

I say it's time ALL Constitutional rights were protected, especially for veterans who are being arbitarily given psychiatric labels every day!

Thank you so much for being so consistent with feedback on what I write, and even more for your consistent defense of the Constitution and the protections that it provides individuals.

Faith and Belief are what sustains me, and some-times they ebb and flow...

The Will of God will not lead me where the Grace of God can not sustain me, this is a belief some of the time; but more often a certain knowledge.

I have no doubt that people can and do recover, or more accurately are transformed by psychosis and other experiences which cause them to be labeled with a mental illness. I believe that these conditions are more accurately defined as spiritual conditions.

I was diagnosed with both bipolar and PTSD; and and there is no doubt in my mind my reactions and responses to the events in my life were the cause of my difficulties---it was not a "chemical imbalance" needing a drug to be corrected. I had to reframe my experiences, and learn how to put them into context; learn the skills to take care of myself emotionally, physically and spiritually. Growth of any kind seldom occurs in a straight line, I hope to be attending to my own for the rest of my life. I do not believe it is a "I have arrived" to be achieved, but a continual need to be humbled, reverent, and true to one's own path.

My biggest challenges are dealing with anger and grief--I think that these two emotions are frequently mistaken for depression, instead of correctly identified as human instincts which are negated or minimized or otherwise discouraged as socially unacceptable or somehow wrong.

It is hard for me to just be ok with what I know, and still feel safe sometimes. I have reason to mistrust authority, mental health "professionals," etc. and it is hard to be stay present when dealing with "authorities" and "mhps" who behave in the same harmful ways, unknowingly, ignorantly or just do not want to acknowledge that TRUST is earned; not a gift bequeathed with their JOB status---yet want me believe them trustworthy without having shown me a valid reason I should trust them. In my experience, when I trust my own God given instincts, I have no regrets, anger or grief---when I do not, I have them all in abundance; along with other unpleasant emotions and spiritual baggage to deal with!

I have been blessed, and I believe I have been carried most of my life, by a merciful creator. I am today who I wanted to be when I was a kid--and it's funny because my life is nothing like I imagined it would be!

I love my life, and wouldn't trade places with anyone, even if it were possible.

I write about what matters to me, and it matters to this mom when anyone is mistreated. Traumatized human beings are who I most identify with; I have spent a great deal of my life experiencing the effects of trauma, and know how truly frightening and endless it can seem when it is where one is at the moment.

Healing is not only possible, as you pointed out: it is likely---That is the message of hope that should be spread instead of the one that has been shoved down our throats along with the pills and poisonous beliefs of disease and defect being the cause of our distress.

Bless you for reflecting truth; it is a reminder in human terms that I am...
